Students get more than half of their information about an organization from sources that are not controlled by the company, reports talent management expert Dr. John Sullivan. That’s why monitoring and engaging on third-party review sites, like Glassdoor and Comparably, is now an essential part of an employer branding strategy. Respond to reviews, both positive and negative, promptly. Thank the reviewer for their feedback, offer steps to address concerns and focus on positive company-led initiatives. Responding to reviews allows you to control the narrative—even on sites, you don’t own.
